Once I completed the intake forms, I was immediately called in for an initial consult with one of the practice’s staff. After they took my history and performed a cursory exam, I waited just a few minutes to see the Dr. Dr. Elias was personable and took his time to review my history and concerns. His recommendations were clear and the medications he prescribed have already made a tremendous difference. I am very thankful to have been seen so quickly and with such care. What you need to know: -staff were friendly and helpful -the tech who was helping me did a good job of giving directions and making me feel comfortable during the tests -Dr A was very thorough but succinct, explained the tests and the imaging, periodically paused to make sure my questions were answered. I say this as an experienced Nurse Practitioner: there is a very good reason I recommend him to my own family and patients. Worth the travel, worth the wait (if you even have to!)

The last time I visited, yesterday, was the THIRD TIME the office had bungled my appointment, telling me I had the wrong date, which I didn’t. This is compounded by the fact that every time I visit, there is a completely new staff, both medical and clerical at the front desk. Therefore, no accountability. Absolutely maddening. Luckily yesterday the woman at the front desk was polite and helpful - an absolute rarity. The doctor himself is okay but the prelude to seeing him is not.

Dr H didnt prescribe meds when chronic condition flared up & never scheduled my very needed surgery in 2 yrs!!!

The office is always extremely busy, but Dr Aliprandis never rushes you during an exam. He takes his time to explain any conditions you may have. He patiently worked with me to get the best results out of my new lens prescription.

I did not like that the office was late. They made 2 8:15 appointments and the secretary came at 8:20. The doctor comes at 9:00. Today she was also late. So dont take an early morning appointment.. As soon as they started working, everything was smooth and professional. I got the result that I was expecting.

To me, they run the office the way it should be run. Quite frankly, other offices, the receptionist doesn’t even look at you when you speak. I’m sorry to say, that behavior will turn me off to a doctor, if that’s the kind of office he or she wants to run . The staff at Ophthamology Associates is pleasant and they greet you when you come in. I arrived early but only waited a few minutes to be called in. Of course Dr. Aliprandis welcomes you with a smile and addresses any questions or concerns you may have. If you feel, for whatever reason , you need to find a new Ophthalmologist you should check them out. You’ll won’t need to look any further.

Dr. Aliprandis It's a caring Doctor who takes his time to Listen and understand your concerns. The technicians are great. However the front desk lacks training on how to deal with patients , patients needs, Patients privacy HIPA and Respecting the patient's time.

Dr. Rusu is great but the ridiculously long wait time makes me think twice about recommending the practice. I was seen for pre screening about 20 mins after my appt time-easy to forgive. That said, I was then sent back to the waiting room for over an hour waiting to see the doctor. Once called in to see her, it was another 10 minutes wait time and then a 5 minute consultation (which would be fine if it didn’t take place 2 hours post my appt time). This practice is clearly over scheduled and has been for a long time.

Dr. Elias was the ultimate professional. He knew his craft and was insightful in providing me information about my situation. Despite the wait in the waiting room, Dr. Elias took the time to examine and answer all my questions.

I had an urgent appointment with Dr Irene Rusu on June 25 2024 due to extreme eye pain. During my chief complaint she interrupted me while I was describing my concerns; checked for a corneal scratch; did not dilate my eyes; instructed me to return over a week later for a full eye exam; and diagnosed me with dry eye. I am so glad that I did not follow her medical advice. I instead searched for another ophthalmologist who saw me the next day. They took my complaint seriously and then insisted that I see a neuro ophthalmologist after a full eye exam, dilating my eyes, completing a vision field test, Ishihara test, etc. As a result I was hospitalized and treated for optic neuritis. Dr. Rusu was dismissive and her lack of attention to detail led her to horribly miss a critical diagnosis in my case.

Although I like the doctor as well as his staff, the wait times to get in to see him are off the charts! It seems his appointments are always overbooked. I don’t understand why you need to wait sometimes more than three hours to get in to see him for all of five minutes. It’s quite frustrating!

Everyone from Dr. Aliprandis to the staff were so courteous and professional. They put me at ease. They were so friendly. And Dr. Aliprandis was so easy to understand what was going to happen with my cataract surgery. I have full faith in him and his staff. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a negative review about this practice because of the long wait time. Within 10 minutes of it posting I received a call from Dr. Aliprandis the owner of the practice. I was very impressed with his gesture and apology. He scheduled an appointment time that would be convenient for both of us. True to his word he saw me and took care of my problem. He was kind and efficient explaining everything he was going to do during the procedure. The ladies in the reception area are polite and greet the patients upon their arrival. I especially appreciated the helpfulness and kindness I received from Monica.

I did have a problem with waiting times the first two times i went to this office. I posted a negative review last Saturday and within 10 minutes of the post Dr. Aliprandis, the owner of the practice called me to apologize . I was impressed with his gesture. He also made arrangements for me to see him personally at a time convenient for both of us. I met him on Tuesday and he took care of my problem with care and kindness. Come as early as possible. It is a busy practice and waiting times increase with the number of patients waiting to see the doctor. The quality of care and expertise is very good and for this reason it is a busy office.

The staff and the nurse assistants are caring and friendly. I spent most of the time interacting with them. The visit with the doctor took less than 15 minutes because all the pre- tests were done by the nurse assistants. Although the process is lengthy (I am a new patient) I am very satisfied with them.

I was greated by reception with the smile and professionalism Dr Irene was extremely pleasant and I felt like she took good care of me.

This visit was for an emergency, I did not have an appointment, yet they made time for me to come in the same day. They did a complete work up, and it seems that Dr Rusu correctly diagnosed and resolved the problem.

I have been afraid to have cataract surgery for years because so many friends who were not happy with the outcome or the choices in selecting the lenses that fit their need. When I went to Dr. Aliprandis based on the recommendation of my friend, he discussed with me my eye condition and which lens it best for me. I told him about my fear of side effects and he explained to me which lens is best for me. He was honest and professional in his recommendation. I highly recommend him and recommend his staff which include the nurse, the optometrist and the front desk staff. They were excellent in their help and care.

This was my first time meeting Dr Rusu. My doctor was not in the office. I went there without an appointment because I was experiencing pain in the eye that I had surgery on 3 weeks ago. She examined my eye, knew exactly what was wrong, and told me what I am to do. I came home, followed her instructions, and the following day I was pain free. Thank you Dr Rusu.

The experience with all the assistants within the office was superb. They were personable and compassionate. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about Dr. Rusu. My appointment started at 11:30 and I was finally seen by the doctor at almost 1:30. The doctor entered my room and I said hello. She immediately responded “hello, sir.” There is nothing about me that suggested that I’m a man. I don’t take offense but instead worry about the attentiveness not provided by this Dr. She seemed overwhelmed, or even bothered by having to serve me, and dismissing my concerns I had for my eyes and the fact that I sat for almost two hours waiting to see her. She even tried to defend well you checked in at 11:37. It was almost argumentative, especially when I said I checked in at 11:28. If it weren’t for the wonderful service provided by the others in the office, I would have given one star.

I've been going to Ophthalmology Associates for over 30 years seeing Dr. Stephen Conrad as my primary ophthalmologist until his retirement. The staff and personnel in this medical office are professional, efficient, knowledgeable and empathetic. Several months ago I had a consultation with Dr. Elias Aliprandis regarding my having cataracts in both eyes. I have yearly checkups and I had known, for some time, I would need cataract surgery. I had a very thorough and informative consultation with Dr. Aliprandis. He explained, in great detail, the actual procedure. as well as the pre-operative process and the postoperative process. Both cataract surgeries were done at Brook Plaza Ambulatory Center which was equally as professional as Ophthalmology Associates. Dr. Aliprandis explained the procedure before the surgery and kept me apprised during the actual surgery. He is extremely professional, caring and detailed. I highly recommend Dr. Aliprandis; he is a highly skilled surgeon and I'm very pleased and excited with the results of my surgery.
